Melanie Travis, her sister-in-law Bertie and Melanie's Aunt Peg are taking a road trip to a judges' symposium at a Pocono Mountain resort. But the trip takes a sinister turn when Charles Evans, an esteemed judge and animal rights activist who had just delivered a controversial speech calling for an end to dog shows, is found dead in the resort's hot tub.
