This is the second of three books chronicling the author's life during his three-year enlistment in the US Army. This book describes the author's Army experiences from August, 1967, when he left electronics school at Fort Gordon, Georgia, through December, 1968, when he was transferred to Vietnam from an aviation maintenance center at Mannheim, West Germany. Repairing helicopter electronic communication and navigation systems, repairing airborne navigation radios and serving as a lieutenant colonel's aide are thoroughly described. Included are extensive descriptions of an Army soldier's lifestyle while stationed in Europe in that era as are the author's numerous travel experiences.
