This is one woman's true story of a seemingly endless struggle to find the will to go on after learning she's been infected with the HIV virus by her son's father. It is also about her battle with an emotional break down and the efforts to understand and overcome traumatic events of her entire life, as well as conquering a recurring drug addiction. She also describes the ostracization and isolation she had to deal with on an ongoing basis. It is about finding the personal determination not to return to prison. Most important is her struggle to reunite with her children after being seperated for three years and deal with their emotional upheaval and molestation issues. She describes her fervent desire to raise biracial children to be well adjusted adults in a society that tends to be bigoted and unforgiving.
