Lost in His Eyes: Romantic suspense

NOTHING IS AS IT SEEMS

I'm surprised that the author is a man, because he seems to be able to decipher and understand so well women's feelings about marriage, motherhood, and life in general. He does an excellent job of conveying this with many a poetic turn of phrase that I found enjoyable. I thought Clea was an interesting character and though I couldn't personally relate to her, I know people like her and I can understand how she might have reached the condition she was in. I had suspicions of what the ending of the book would bring but the author did a great job of keeping things just uncertain enough that I was unsure of the outcome until it came and I found myself nodding in agreement. There were some red herrings thrown in that for awhile led me to wonder if the book would go a different direction. I don't want to give anything away; the pleasure of this book is in the discovery.
