Garden of Tigers

Garden of Tigers is the story of beautiful Nina McLean who grows up in Mississippi convinced that she belongs somewhere else. Her college roommate, the sophisticated Adele Forrest Wickham, loves a man she is convinced she can never have. The girls become women then wives: Adele marries a Wall Street banker and Nina a Roman count. The Contessa de Leone deals with difficult aristocratic in-laws and her husband's lies. The obvious is deceptive. Nina's brother and her Lebanese lover have secrets and Adele's very social mother has quite another life on Friday afternoons. The story sweeps from Mississippi to Manhattan, from Watch Hill to Rome. Each character is surrounded by wealth, glamour and duplicity; they inhabit a Garden of Tigers.
