JumpStart: Your Journey With Jesus

JumpStart is the discipleship/mentoring Bible study Paul wishes he had forty years ago. It is a two volume sixteen session Bible based mentoring tool. It will lead a seeker or growing believer through a logical discipleship process. JumpStart begins with our separation from God and concludes with a Celebration, Life Group, Mentoring model of ministry. The sixteen sessions work through THE SEPARATION, THE SOLUTION, THE BATH, THE POWER, THE SWORD, THE CONNECTION, THE INVITATION, THE EQUIPPING, THE STEWARD, THE MISSION, THE METHOD, THE DO'S, THE DON'T S, THE CHARACTER, THE BODY, and THE MODEL. JumpStart is a tool for mentoring/discipling growing believers at NorthPoint Christian Fellowship in San Bernardino, CA. He completed JumpStart as the foundation of his Doctoral Project. It will fit solidly within any Bible teaching evangelical church setting. JumpStart requires 1-2 hours of personal preparation per session, and then 1-2 hours for mentor, mentee, or small group to talk, pray, and work through the material. The technical term behind JumpStart is Relational Inductive Bible Study. It is people, open to God, allowing the written Word to infuse their lives with transformation power. It can be used for personal study and devotions, but it is much more powerful when shared with another person, or a small group. Pastor Paul attempted to avoid divisive doctrinal issues, and stick with the core evangelical teachings of the Christian faith. He has attempted to let the Word of God do the Work of God. Pastor Paul accepted Christ in 1977 while serving as a Sergeant on a Green Beret A-team. He has been married to Karen for 38 years and is the proud parent of two married children, and their five precious children. He earned his B.A. in Biblical Literature at Azusa Pacific University. His Master of Divinity from Eastern Baptist Theological Seminary, now Palmer Seminary. Last year he completed his Doctor of Ministry degree at Golden Gate Baptist Theological Seminary with an emphasis in Cell Church.
