Black child, white child;: The development of racial attitudes

During the preschool years children form racial attitudes which directly reflect the attitudes of American society. Black Child, White Child investigates the effects of such variables as age, skin color, and sex on the racial preference formation and actual interaction patterns of 400 three-to-five year-olds. It sheds light on the effects of racism on black children and includes new findings on the role of social class in determining attitudes.
