Alien Creature

Inspired by the words and life of poet Gwendolyn MacEwen, Canadian playwright and actor Linda Griffiths has created a play about magic women, "alien creatures" who, like MacEwan, find the world a difficult place. MacEwen was to many a piercing, mesmerising presence. In less than twenty six years, she published twenty books and became, with Margaret Atwood, the most celebrated Canadian poet of her day. She died in 1987, at the age of forty six.
