When Teddy was only four years old, hismother had made him a Superman cape towear on Halloween. Now, even thoughTeddy was five years old and it wasn'tHalloween, he still liked to wear his capearound their apartment. Unlike pants, whichbecame too short, or shoes, which becametoo tight, the cape still fit him fine.Teddy liked to run through the hallwayof the apartment with the red cape flyingbehind him as he shouted, "S-U-P-E-RM-A-N." Then he felt bigger and strongerand smarter than Nora, even if he wasn't.
