A Deputy Sheriff is tracking a rogue hermit roaming the Gila River's cliffs, and the hermit's wealthy wife uses her greenbacks to convince Slocum to save her husband. Slocum needs more light shed on the case-but he's hoping it isn't a blaze of gunfire.
