This book shows novices and experienced readers alike how to program an IBM PC or compatible to do technical analyses of stocks and futures contracts--and take advantage of material from computer-accessible data banks. For the less adventurous reader, programs are provided for using stock and futures data from several different sources (such as CSI, MJK Associates, Compuserve, I. P. Sharp, and Futures Update) , and for technical analyses (including single and double moving averages, momentum, on-balance volume, stochastics, contrary opinion, and more) . All programs in the book have full, line-by-line explanations of exactly what is being done and why--this allows the reader to adapt the programs to suit his needs. For readers unfamiliar with the markets, there are introductions to the stock and futures markets, as well as the strategies and techniques for trading them.
