Diabetic Retinopathy: Diagnosis, Management and Reference Images, CD ROM

This CD-ROM includes more than 300 images. The topics are illustrated by color fundus images and fluorescein angiograms showing the different classifications of diabetic retinopathy and associated findings. A main component is the reference images. These images are presented according to findings specified by the user. Over 100 combinations of findings are available. The temporal progression of the disease is demonstrated in about 100 time series images. The time series images are displayed according to the classifications specified by the user. The retrieved time series presents chronologically ordered preview images with a brief description of an underlying patient case. In addition the CD-ROM offers graphics with the latest results of the United Kingdom Prospective Diabetes Study (UKPDS) , the Diabetes Control and Complications Trial (DCCT) and the Kroc Study Group. All images are shown as preview images (thumbnails) . A mouseclick on a preview image shows the full version image with a description. The JPEG images are of the size 700x533x24 dpi and are 150 to 300 KB large.
