Summer of the Smoke

The Apache smoke signals sent their message of war from mesa to mountain. Maco, their renegade chief, had broken out of the white man's jail and was on his way home. Army scout Keefe Calhoun had tracked Maco along the stage trail as far as Weymarn's Crossing. And in that one-horse town Calhoun was about to find bad whiskey, a good woman, and a secret enemy who was cooking up a scheme to keep Maco free and make Calhoun dead.
