A Very Sweet Read! (and not like a soap opera!)

Having read the rest of the Smoky Mountain Matches, I was a little hesitant to pick up the latest release only because I had never quite cared for Jessica (and have never been fond of "amnesia" plots, as they typically tend to be a tad melodramatic). I'm so glad I was wrong - Kirst did not disappoint! She unfolds the story in a way that is believable and not in the least soap opera-ish. I quickly grew to care for the characters and realized that their sometimes annoying flaws are what make them real for readers. It was encouraging to see Jessica's personal growth as well fun to chance a peek into the rest of her family's happily-ever-afters. This is one of my favorite Christian romance series as it is clean, fun, and inspiring without being "too preachy". Another plus, the male characters actually sound/act like men rather than a female writer pretending to be male - you know the ones I'm talking about! At any rate, I always finish the Kirst's works with a smile on my face and another goodie in my library! Keep them coming, please!!! Read more
