Not my cup of tea.
Where to start? The writing mechanics and editing were average for Harlequin fare. But the plot, oh boy. By 30% of the way into this book I had serious concerns, by 50% I was thinking about not finishing it. I almost always finish reading a book. By 66% I was skimming it hoping it would get better but it never did. The h had 1 past relationship and it was abusive. Supposedly she recovered and grew from that as we were repeatedly told. You couldn't prove it to me by her actions because she has dived into another one with this guy. For her good sex or the prospect of sex seems to be sufficient for most mistreatment to be forgotten. I couldn't decide if the H was 2 or 14 years old. Most of the time he was either over come with lust or throwing a tantrum because he was over come with lust. In either case it was all her fault and he had no trouble taking it out on her or verbally attacking her. Even an attempt at an apology turned nasty! I could go on but it's getting late. Read more
