Primer of epidemiology

Written for medical students, physicians and other health-care professionals, this textbook explains epidemiologic concepts. It bridges the gap between the clinician and the epidemiologist by providing a number of clinical examples, and explains the epidemiologic emphasis on the study of groups rather than individuals. The book also studies the relationship of epidemiology to the study of social and political problems, such as the changing health-care system and environmental hazards.
