Children's Literature
- Maria Lamattina
I'm glad I was introduced to this book series based on a WGBH television series. Although I don't teach the targeted grade levels (4 through 6), I checked out the Time Warp Trio Web site to learn more about the books. Intended as a vehicle for getting kids interested in learning about history, the book I read should do just that—generate questions about who Lewis and Clark were, and what they were doing in that time period. Jodie, Freddi, and Samantha, "typical" twenty-second-century girls, are able to travel in time. On this adventure they travel back three hundred years, and find themselves in a dangerous situation with a bear.
