I have had faith in Jason since the day we met in 4th grade. We played football together, baseball together, and had nothing but fun with everything we did. That Halloween night Jason was hit would forever change me as well. We have a bond that cannot be shared between anyone but those who have experienced something like this together. Jason writes about his father Charlie and let me tell you that to say they were inseparable is an understatement! They were together all of the time and everywhere. Charlie drove us around to games, wrestling meets, school functions, side jobs, friends houses, and everywhere he went. I will never forget the day Jason called me to tell me he had passed. I somehow knew that Jason would rise above all of this, he always did. We lost touch for years and in 2009 we reconnected. When I got on his website and saw, read, and listened to all of his accomplishments, I wept openly with joy. Running on Faith is simply the written dialogue of what Jason speaks everyday. He inspires me to be a better husband, friend, coach, and athlete.
