Reaching Out

Because Cohen's memoir "Blindsided" was so honestly written, I immediately purchased this book knowing it would not be a disappointment. The five courageous people afflicted with heavy physical burdens reach out to America especially and say "we want our voice to be heard - get to know us and the struggles we and others with our challenge are facing and please, please, find a cure." Denise, Buzz, Larry, Sara, Ben - thank you for helping Richard write his book, for acquainting us with your illness, and allowing us to examine our attitudes toward folks with disabilities. Read this book carefully and you can see the real Richard Cohen emerging. There's something about courage, hope, love, soul searching that shines through, and yes, even faith. The book is 332 pages with excellent print and it is small enough to carry around - very nice. There is a web site too - so stories that need to be told can continue on and on. Let's help by loving one another. Read more
