Kader Abdolah
Kader Abdolah (pen name of Hossein Sadjadi Ghaemmaghami Farahani) is an Iranian-Dutch writer, poet, and columnist born in Arak, Iran in 1954. He fled Iran in 1985 due to political persecution and settled in the Netherlands in 1988, where he began writing in Dutch while drawing on Persian literary themes and his experiences as a political refugee. His works, including the bestselling novel 'Het huis van de moskee' (The House of the Mosque), explore themes of exile, identity, and the immigrant experience.
