Jo Sinclair

Jo Sinclair was the pen name of Ruth Seid (1913–1995), an American novelist and playwright known for writing about immigrant families, race relations, antisemitism, and homophobia. Her best-known novel, Wasteland, won the Harper Prize in 1946, and her later work continued to explore prejudice and identity.
