Jeffrey Shandler

Jeffrey Shandler is Distinguished Professor Emeritus of Jewish Studies at Rutgers University and a scholar of modern and contemporary Jewish culture. His work focuses on Holocaust memory, media and religion in American Jewish life, and Yiddish language, literature, and culture; he is the author of books including While America Watches: Televising the Holocaust and Yiddish: A Biography of a Language.
