Fernanda Pirie
Fernanda Pirie is Professor of the Anthropology of Law at the University of Oxford, where she studies legal practices and texts using anthropological, historical, and comparative methods. Before entering academia, she practiced as a barrister at the London bar, and her work focuses on the history and anthropology of law, including Tibetan societies and the development of legal systems across time.
