Bryan George
Peter Bryan George (26 March 1924 – 1 June 1966) was a Welsh author best known for the Cold War thriller novel Red Alert, first published as Two Hours to Doom under the pseudonym Peter Bryant. The novel inspired Stanley Kubrick’s film Dr. Strangelove or: How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love the Bomb. He died in 1966, and his death was ruled a suicide.
