Alex Zakaras

Alex Zakaras is a professor of political science at the University of Vermont, where he has taught since 2005. He studies political philosophy and the history of political thought, and is the author of books including Freedom for All: What a Liberal Society Could Be (2025), The Roots of American Individualism (2022), and Individuality and Mass Democracy (2009).
