Aleksandra Kasuba
Aleksandra Kasuba (1923-2019) was a Lithuanian-born sculptor and environmental artist, renowned for her innovative architectural environments, tensile fabric structures, and large-scale public works in materials like brick, marble, and granite. She studied at the Kaunas Art Institute and Vilnius Academy of Fine Arts, married sculptor Vytautas Kasuba in 1944, emigrated to the US in 1947 after time as refugees in Germany, and lived in New York from 1963 before moving to Albuquerque, New Mexico in 2001.
