Management Systems Audit: Risk Mitigation

Are you effective and efficient? This book walks you through Process Audits to mitigate risk and improve business performance. It introduces readers to management systems ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 14001:2015 in the context of key quality management principles and techniques to support large, medium and small business achieve their goals, objectives and strategic direction. Having served almost fifty tears in the world of manufacturing and service related sectors, I finally retired in 2018. My last ten years had been with the British Standards Institute, the best ten years of my working life. It was at BSI when I was able to pull together all my knowledge and experience to support our clients improve their business performance through the mitigation of risk. Not in a consultancy capacity but by auditing their management systems. I have lost count as to the number of nonconformance's I raised, but I'll bet I was somewhere near the top of the Major, Minor Nonconformance League. All these nonconformities were raised in a professional, consistent manner. Most clients accepted the nonconformities, others acknowledged them, a handful disputed them vigorously. The majority welcomed them in a positive manner. On reflection, what they would all probably agree upon was that the nonconformities I raised presented an actual or potential risk to the effectiveness of their management systems supporting their business aims, objectives and strategic direction.
