Titans of Performance: Friedrich S.. Perls & Peter F. Drucker

In Socratic style, this imagined dialogue is between two prominent gurus: one on psychology; the other on management. In 1943, Friedrich (Fritz) S. Perls M.D., a German-born American psychiatrist and psychologist, would have turned 50 years of age when Peter F. Drucker, an Austrian-born American management consultant, turned 34 years of age. Although spending their final professional years living only 6 hours apart in California, the author found no evidence the two ever met and yet they were influenced by some fundamental common beliefs.. Based on his understanding of Perls in pursuing a Master of Arts degree (MA) in Counseling; and his appreciation of Drucker's works while earning a Master of Public Health degree (MPH) ; and drawing on both intellectual giants during his thirty year career in healthcare administration, Nusbaum presents a likely conversation between these inspirational, original thinkers.
