Thulkadoone

A new religion has blossomed on a dying earth while a lucky few flee to the stars. It breeds fanatics who believe man's flight for survival is an attempt to escape the Apocalypse and they have sworn to destroy those who remain alive. They have infected the straggling escape ships in hopes they can one day destroy them all. The escape ship Exodus has become stranded by a strange anomaly and it seems they may have found their opportunity . . .. "You poor shortsighted fool!" she snarled, "Perhaps I was not clear. The anomaly could destroy entire quadrants of space including Exodus. If you succeed, the planet with her colonists, the ship and crew you will be part of, and with luck the Exodus itself, all will be destroyed." Then calmly, as if teasing a child for the right answer, she prompted, "Are you prepared to die?"
