A Dual World Economy: Forty Years of Development Experience

This work provides empirical material on aspects of global development as well as issues related to domestic development processes in Third World countries. It studies the problem at the global level, as well as the experiences of newly industrialized countries (which are regarded as having been fairly successful) is analyzed. The final section looks at the case of some of the least developed countries. The contributions to this book represent the views of experts from a wide range of countries, and will promote a better understanding of the long-term nature of development.
